　　Good morning, this is Helen Green with What to Do Today on the air. It’s quite a warm and sunny Saturday. Now, if you’ve got nothing to do today, why not go to East Mountain in the city and get digging? That’s the message from Sussex Middle School. It is organizing a tree-planting activity in East Mountain.

　　Sussex Middle School is a member of HBC—Helping Blind Children. It is raising money for poor blind children in Asia by planting trees. A famous computer company agrees to give $20 for each tree to be planted in the city. Sussex Middle School is planning to plant 1000~1500 trees this weekend.

　　Students and their parents are hoping to plant more than a half today. They are looking for volunteers to come along and help. Tree-planting experience is not necessary as there will be somebody to give directions. Thick gloves will be provided to protect your hands if you are doing the digging. And please do bring basic tools with you to dig holes and water trees. Everyone is welcome to come along anytime from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this weekend. So it could be really a nice day out for all the families.

　　Ok, boys and girls. Next week in Biology we are going to study animals from Africa. We will learn about what they eat, where they live, when they move from place to place, and so on. I’d like you to see some movies about African animals in class. You’ll have to take notes while watching. I’ll also take you to the library to check out a book to get more information. I want you to do a report by groups of four people, so each student must join a group first, and then your group must choose one animal to do the report on. Reports will be five pages long, including pictures. You’ll have three weeks to finish your report. You should discuss in your groups completely since you have enough time to prepare. Tell me which animal you want to write about as soon as possible. First come first served. Nobody can do the report on the same animal. If you need help when finding an animal for your report, I’ll be glad to help you choose one next week.
