　　  A heartbreaking essay written by a 12-year-old in Sichuan about the loss of her mother has triggered a massive outpouring of sympathy and support from netizens across China.

　　  木苦依五木是一个来自四川大凉山的小学四年级彝族小姑娘，在短短300字的作文里，她讲述了自己的父亲去世仅4年后母亲又离世的悲剧。“爸爸四年前死了。爸爸生前最疼我……妈妈病了，去镇上，去西昌。钱没了，病也没好。”木苦依五木家里一贫如洗，支付不起她母亲的医药费。一天，当她刚刚做完饭，她的母亲却死去了。

　　  The letter was written by Mukuyiwumu, a 12-year-old girl from the Yi ethnic group living in Liangshan, one of the poorest areas in Southwest China's Sichuan province, the Beijing Youth Daily reports. In the 300-word long primary school essay, Mukuyiwumu writes about how she lost her mother just four years after her father's death, "Dad died four years ago, he loved so much…mom grew sick after a while." Mukuyiwumu's family was too poor to get her mother the necessary treatment. Her mother died just as

　　  The undated photo shows Mukuyiwumu's 300-word composition that triggered an avalanche of support from netizens across the country.

　　  最早将作文发到网上的是当地一家慈善机构的理事长黄红斌，今年7月9日去木苦依五木所就读的小学时，他看到了这篇作文，被深深感动，将它发到了和上。后来他又自费探望木苦依五木，他看见这个12岁的女孩在照顾两个弟弟和祖父母，一家人住在破烂不堪的房子里，艰难维持生计。

　　  A volunteer from a local charity organization, Huang Hongbin, had taken a picture of the composition during his visit to Mukuyiwumu's school on July 9. Huang was so moved by the letter and uploaded it on to his social media account on Weibo and Wechat. Afterwards, Huang paid a visit to Mukuyiwumu's home. He saw that Mukuyiwumu had to take care of two younger brothers as well as her grandparents. They lived in a dilapidated house with scarce food.
