保持安全距离,守护校园安全
亲爱的全体师生,
根据新加坡人力部、新加坡土地管理局和教育相关部门的指导原则,詹姆斯库克大学新加坡校区严格遵守并实施安全距离措施,直至2020年4月30日或另行通知。该措施下,人与人之间在教室、办公室、会议室等公共区域必须保持至少1米的安全距离,具体方案如下:
英语语言预备课程:每班通常20人左右,目前使用36人教室。
预科课程:分成小班授课或使用更大的教室,并确保每班学生不超过50人。
使用开放式办公场所的员工将改换到其它工作场所。根据大学持续运营计划,员工可使用闲置教室办公,或划分为A、B两个团队分开办公。
大学已减少会议室座位,以确保满足1米安全距离的要求。
由于大学减少了员工茶水间和餐厅的座位,导致午餐期间座位不足。鉴于此种情况,大学允许员工在自己的工位就餐,但请避免食用气味浓烈的食物;学生可在Block C室外学习区就餐;大学密切关注疫情态势,并可能采取其它方案作以应对。
大学接待处、学生中心和图书馆划定1米间距的排队线,并设置最多容纳人数的标志。
除以上措施外,大学将收集反馈、探索更好的应对方案以满足师生要求,并提高教室和办公室的使用效率,为更多学生返校做好准备。大学鼓励所有师生通过以下方式践行社交距离措施。
请牢记社交距离要求,不要移动会议室、茶水间和餐厅桌椅。

Dear everyone,
I woul like to inform everyone that our University is strictly following an practicing the stricter safe istancing measure to ahere guielines from MOM, CPE an SLA till 30th April 2020 or till further notice. The classroom, office, meeting room an social spaces have to comply at least 1m of physical istancing as per following actions:
· ELPP class, usually aroun 20 stuents per class, we are now using the 36 pax classroom.
· Founation class, split to smaller class size or use the bigger classroom. We on’t have more than 50 stuents per class in any situation.
· Staff in the open seating plan are generally using other workstations. Split teams by using classroom or by Team A & Team B approach accoring to our Business Continuity Plan.
· We have reuce seating capacities in our meeting room to ensure 1m physical istancing requirement is met.
· The staff pantry an canteen seating capacities have been reuce too thus resulting we have significant shortage of lunch space. Due to unexcepte situation, we have agree: Staff can eat the lunch at their workstations although please be more consierate by eating less strong smelling foo; stuent can use the open space outsie Stuent Hub block C to consume the lunch. We are closely monitoring the situation an may have some other alternative solutions to overcome this perio.
· The 1m queueing line has been rawn in Corporate reception, Stuent hub an Library areas with the maximum occupation signage.
With these implementations, we are also collecting the feeback an exploring better options to meet the requirements as well as to increase the efficiency usage of classroom an office in preparing more stuents returning from week 5. I encourage all staff an stuent participations in the social istancing exercise by
· Please be minful with social istancing requirements as always an o not move the tables & chairs in meeting rooms, pantry an canteen.
· Report to your supervisor an Facilities staff shoul you think there is a potential risky area on our Campus.
· Sharing your thoughts if you see/hear some better practices which can be uplicate in our University.
With everyone’s alertness, contributions an efforts, we have been very successful in managing the COVID-19 outbreak in our University over the past 2 months. I encourage our community to continue practicing the social responsibility an goo personal hygiene as much as possible.
