　　The topic on the generation gap between parents and children has been discussed actively. Our family was also faced with this problem.Last semester, I failed the final exam. My parents scolded me angrily. I was so sad because I wanted them to help and encourage me, but they ignored my feelings all the time.

　　The situation must be changed.I wrote to my par- ents with the words from the bottom of my heart. To my surprise,they replied to me soon. Having understood my thoughts, they told me that they loved me so much and were always ready to help me.

　　A Conflict with My Mother

　　Every time I sit down and play the piano,I recall what my mother has done for me.

　　Once I hated practising the piano after dinner every evening and I almost gave it up. My mother persuaded me not to stop halfway.In the beginning, I refused to accept her advice and she was angry with me. We didn't talk to each other for nearly a week. Later,my mother took me to concerts and she hoped the music I heard on the concerts could inspire me. With her help, I changed my mind and continued playing the piano,and I fell in love with it day by day.

　　This experience teaches me a lesson that never do things by halves. I'm so grateful for my mother's patience and help.

　　Last week, there was a conflict between my best friend and me, and it has taught me a lesson.

　　The reason why the conflict was caused was that my friend broke my favorite crystal ball, which was a precious gift from my mother. Although it was an accident, I got mad at first, yelled at her and ran away. However, a sense of guilt filled me after I calmed down. I felt sorry to be angry with her,so I made an apology to her.To my surprise, she bought another nice crystal ball for me as her apology gift.We were both moved and hugged together tightly.

　　There is no doubt that a friend is much morepre- cious than a gift. I have realized the importance of friendship through the conflict.
