　　Today, I would like to share with you the movie Me Before You. The film tells a story about love, freedom and the meaning of life.

　　In the film, Lou, a young girl from a small town, was hired as a caretaker, and the person she had to take care of is a man named Will. In the past, Will loved extreme sports. Free adventure was the theme of his life. However, a car accident shattered his spine, leaving him quadriplegic. As a consequence, Will could only spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

　　Will soon discovered that Lou was different from his previous caregivers, and that Lou, with her big personality, never shied away from talking about his disability. This kind of courage gave Will a different feeling. With Lou's company, Will gradually tasted the feeling of happiness again, and seriously reflected on his future.

　　According to the audience's expectations, at the end of the film, Will must be encouraged by Lou to regain the love and enthusiasm for life, and lived happily together with Lou. Unfortunately, in fact, Will signed the euthanasia agreement long ago, and even in the end of the film, he still did not change his mind, using euthanasia to end his life.

　　There are various opinions about this seemingly unhappy ending, but one thing is certain. Will never gave up his quest for freedom. If his body would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, he would rather free his soul by euthanasia. Will did cherish Lou's company, but her love only briefly illuminated his life for a period of time, and couldn’t be the pillar of the rest of his life. We tend to overestimate the power of love and underestimate the pursuit of freedom, which is probably what this film is trying to tell us.
