于温肯,品中西|和温肯中外师生一同走进“竹丝镶嵌”非遗技艺

  3月25日下午,由学生媒体与设计中心海外部策划的非遗项目竹丝镶嵌 “流光透影·与竹为伴”体验活动在教师活动室顺利开展。本次活动有幸邀请到了浙江省竹丝镶嵌代表性传承人张锦达先生,由其介绍竹丝镶嵌工艺,并在现场带大家操作实践,体会非遗文化之美,共有12位外教及中方员工受邀参加。

  在2007年,“竹丝镶嵌”被批准列入浙江省第二批非物质文化遗产目录。张锦达先生是中国工艺美术学会会员、工艺美术师、浙江省非物质文化遗产项目“竹丝镶嵌”代表性传承人,也是唯一一位还在从事竹丝镶嵌创作的手艺人。张老之前制作的屏风《郑板桥(墨竹)》在G20峰会会场陈列。

  灯具、香薰盒、挂件……在现场,张老先生向大家展示了他的竹丝镶嵌作品。竹丝镶嵌工艺不仅可以打造出颇具欣赏价值的艺术品,还可以运用到生活中,兼具实用性和观赏性。结合竹丝镶嵌本身的装饰艺术性和现代的设计语言,该工艺在现代生活环境焕发出了新的生命力,促进了传统工艺与现代消费市场的融合,展现出了更丰富的面貌。

  在张老先生的指导和学生助教的帮助下,大家开始手工制作小型竹丝镶嵌工艺品。拼长篾,镶嵌,打磨和配框。看似容易的四个步骤,实际动起手来确需要充分的细心和耐心。拼接时,要一齿对一齿,严丝合缝;翻面时,既要小心谨慎,亦要果断迅速;打磨时,要仔细看清篾的方向,避免打磨时出现损坏。接着在喷漆、配框之后,小巧精致的竹丝镶嵌手工便制作完成了。

  动手实践的过程中,中外师生可以感受到竹丝镶嵌工艺制作的复杂繁琐。据张老先生介绍,现场提供的材料由机器制作,其篾齿是机器所切,将误差降到0.1mm已是较为统一和平整。而之前由手工切割打磨的篾齿,人工误差较大,拼接起来难度更高,很多时候需要经验和手感,感受篾齿之间的契合。由此可以知道作为手工艺人的不易和手工艺传承的艰难。

  “这次活动,让我对博大精深的中国文化和非遗文化在当代的演绎有了更深刻的了解。”活动结束后,来自人文学院的Craig Blacklock教授分享了体验感受。来自建筑与设计学院的Maurizio Vrenna教授则希望,接下来能带着产品设计专业的学生,为竹丝镶嵌非遗技艺现代化的传承和发展出一份力。来自国情中心的钱菲老师也说到:“这次的体验活动,让我深深地感受到了传统工匠的一心艺心。向匠心匠魂致敬!也希望有越来越多的年轻人能加入到非遗的保护传承和发扬的队伍中,让中华民族的传统技艺和智慧文化焕发新的生机,向世界展示我们优秀的中国智慧。”

  

  

  

  

  

  非物质文化遗产是人类珍贵的财富,是文化发展的亮丽成果,是需要人们热爱和传承的宝藏。此次活动以非遗文化为桥梁,让中外教师近距离体验竹丝镶嵌,希望能加深参与其中的外教对脚下这片土地的热爱,同时激励温肯儿讲好中国故事,传播好中国文化,积极搭建全新的中西文化交流平台。

  

  On March 25th, the Student Media and Design Center organized an experience in Bamboo Filament Inlay Art, which is a folk culture and intangible cultural heritage of Wenzhou. 12 foreign faculty members and Chinese staff were invited to participate.

  Bamboo Filament Inlay Art is a traditional handicraft that originated in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. The event, titled "Light and Shadow together with Bamboo," combined the decorative artistry of bamboo filament inlay art with modern design techniques. Participants had the opportunity to make classic coasters by following four steps: taking long bamboo strips, inlaying short strips, polishing the assembled work, and mounting it in the frame.

  After the activity, many participants shared their opinions about the experience. Professor Craig Blacklock from the College of Liberal Arts said, "This activity allowed me to deepen my understanding of Chinese culture and intangible cultural heritage through contemporary interpretation." Professor Maurizio Vrenna from the Michael Graves College hopes to contribute to the modern inheritance and development of bamboo filament inlaying by involving WKU students in product design. Qian Fei, Senior Coordinator of the Chinese Curricula Center, was impressed by the single-minded craftsmanship of traditional artisans and hopes more young people will join the team of protecting and carrying forward intangible cultural heritage.

  Intangible cultural heritage is a precious treasure that needs to be cherished and passed on from generation to generation. This Bamboo Filament Inlay Art experience was a bridge that deepened foreign teachers' love for Wenzhou while encouraging WKUers to tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese culture. It also built a new platform for cultural exchange between China and the West.
