　　Write an essay based on chart below. In your writing, you should

　　(1) interpret the chart, and

　　(2) give your comments.

　　The bar chart above clearly illustrates the percentage of the form of residents doing exercise in a certain city in their leisure time. From the statistics given, we may draw the conclusion that the individual doing exercise alone is the highest among all the 4 categories, at approximately 54.3%, whereas those with friends, those with family and those in group activity account for about 47.7%, 23.电视剧9% and 15.8% respectively.

　　This phenomenon received a great deal of attention in the public, for it exerts enormous influence on people in modern society. To start with, it is attaching great significance to appearance that leads young people to go to gym after work. Furthermore, seniors are experiencing a change of attitude to health. Such is the condition of society that a great many old men are willing to do some exercise from stroll to jogging. Besides, a majority of individuals are under the belief that it is a direct consequence of mutual influence. Therefore, it is pleasant to think that this trend becomes prevailing.

　　As far as I am concerned, it is a positive trend and should be stimulated, since it is beneficial not merely to individuals but to the whole society as well. And I am firmly certain that it will continue in the years to come.

　　本次考研英语二图表作文考察的主题是锻炼方式，属于生活类话题。而且此类话题学生比较有代入感，比较简单，唯一难点在于呈现方式是用柱状图表达了静态图的效果，需要考生脑筋转个弯。第一段按图表静态方式描写，注意主题词中的做运动或者锻炼身体均应该使用动名词形式。第二段总分结构，先用总句点出这个现象收到广泛关注，后面分别进行原因阐述，可从年轻人重视外表，老年人重视健康以及人们相互之间的影响维度进行解释。第三段进行正面总结即可。
