　　Hello, everyone. Today, I want to talk to you about a very important historical event: the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.

　　大家好，今天，我想跟大家谈谈一个非常重要的历史事件：抗美援朝战争。

　　This year marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of this war, which lasted from 1950 to 1953. It was a war that defended the peace and security of China and the world, and a war that demonstrated the courage and wisdom of the Chinese people.

　　今年是这场战争胜利的70周年纪念日，这场战争从1950年持续到1953年。这是一场捍卫中国和世界的和平与安全的战争，也是一场展示中国人民的勇气和智慧的战争。

　　In 1950, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the United States tried to contain and isolate China by intervening in the Korean War and sending its Seventh Fleet into the Taiwan Strait. The US-led UN forces invaded North Korea and threatened to cross the Yalu River, posing a serious threat to China's sovereignty and security.

　　1950年，在中华人民共和国成立后，美国试图通过介入朝鲜战争和派遣第七舰队进入台湾海峡来遏制和孤立中国。以美国为首的联合国军队入侵朝鲜北方，并威胁要越过鸭绿江，对中国的主权和安全构成了严重的威胁。

　　Under this situation, Chairman Mao Zedong made the strategic decision to send troops to Korea to resist US aggression and aid Korea. He mobilized millions of Chinese people's volunteers to join the war, under the command of General Peng Dehuai. They fought bravely and tenaciously against the enemy, and achieved brilliant victories in many battles, such as the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, the Battle of Shangganling, and the Battle of Kumsong River.

　　在这种情况下，毛泽东主席作出了出兵朝鲜抗美援朝的战略决策。他动员了数百万中国人民志愿军参加战争，由彭德怀将军指挥。他们勇敢顽强地与敌人作战，在长津湖战役、上甘岭战役、金城江战役等多次战斗中取得了辉煌的胜利。

　　The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea lasted for three years. It ended with the signing of the Armistice Agreement on July 27, 1953. The war inflicted heavy casualties on both sides, but it also safeguarded China’s dignity and interests, and promoted world peace and justice.

　　抗美援朝战争持续了三年。它于1953年7月27日以停战协定的签署而结束。这场战争给双方造成了沉重的伤亡，但它也维护了中国的尊严和利益，促进了世界的和平与正义。

　　The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea is a glorious chapter in the history of the Chinese nation. It teaches us many valuable lessons, such as the importance of patriotism, unity, courage, and innovation. It also inspires us to cherish peace, uphold justice, and strive for a better future.
