　　内容提要 :艾兹拉 ·庞德是美国诗坛的奇才 ,他创意英译的中国古诗 ,无论在 20世纪中外文

　　化交流中 , 或是在英美现代派诗歌的发展 中 , 都起着重要作用 。“The R iverM erchan t ’s

　　W ife: A L etter ”是庞德根据李白的 “长干行 ”创意英译的一首诗 ,这首诗被中外学者看作是

　　英译诗的经典 。本文从文学伦理学角度出发 ,分析两首诗歌文本差异的深层原因 ———伦理

　　现场的误读 , 以及这种差异带来的后果 ———作品伦理现场的缺失 。庞德以西方伦理与思维

　　方式对中国诗的解读和再创造 ,使他的译诗成为不为国界和时间所限制的英诗经典 。

　　ter ”, ba sed on L i Po ’s “Chang Gan X ing ”, is traditionally regarded a s a cla ssic tran slation. In

　　term s of eth ic s, th is p ap er po in ts ou t that the m isreading of eth ical locale in the sou rce language

　　cau se s “The R iverM erchan t ’sW ife: A L etter ”to differ from “Chang Gan X ing ”, and th is m is

　　read ing con sequen tly lead s to the ab sence of the eth ical locale in the target language. Since Pound

　　in terp rets and recreate s the Ch ine se ancien t poem in the W e stern eth ical po in t of view and ways of

　　th ink ing, h is tran slation ha s becom e a cla ssic English poem , wh ich goe s beyond nation s and

　　tim e.
