　　状语从句是初中英语学习的重点，也是每年中考必考的内容之一。

　　中考主要考查引导状语从句的连词、从句时态等方面。重点考查时间状语从句、条件状语从句、结果状语从句和比较状语从句。

　　接下来我们就针对这四种从句的考查要点和连词的使用进行系统总结。

　　定义

　　结果状语从句的从句是用来补充说明主句中谓语动词发生的结果的，一般位于主句之后。

　　常用来连接结果状语从句的连接词有：so that、so...that...、such...that...等。

　　so that

　　so that既可以引导目的状语从句(表示“为了，以便”)， 也可以引导结果状语从句(表示“因此，以至于”)。

　　① He worried so that he couldn’t sleep.

　　他急得睡不着。(so that引导结果状语从句)

　　② It was very cold, so that the river froze.

　　天气寒冷， 河水都结冰了。(so that引导结果状语从句)

　　③ I came to the class early so that I could see the classmate beside me.

　　我赶早来上课， 以便早点看到我旁边的同学。(so that引导目的状语从句)

　　so that引导结果状语从句

　　1. She sat behind me so that I couldn’t see her.

　　2. His anger was such that he lost control of himself.

　　3. The problem was so difficult that I couldn’t solve it.

　　4.He is so young that he can’t join the army.

　　5. It was such an exciting film that we couldn’t forget it.

　　当连接目的状语从句时，一般that从句中会含有情态动词，而当引导结果状语从句时，大多不用情态动词。

　　目的状语从句：

　　I always get up early so that I can catch the first bus.

　　我总是早起，以便能够赶上首班车。

　　结果状语从句：

　　I got up early, so that I caught the first bus.

　　我早早就起床了，结果赶上了首班车。

　　表示“如此……以致……”的“so... that...”和“such... that...”均可引导结果状语从句， 其中的such 是形容词， 修饰名词; so 是副词， 修饰形容词或副词， 具体的搭配形式是：

　　①so+adjhttp://baijiahao.baidu.com/adv.+that

　　②so+adj.(+a/an)+n.+that;

　　③such(+a/an)(+adj.)+n.+that。

　　④so+many/ much / little/ few+adj.+n.

　　so...that...

　　1、so+形容词+that

　　He was so ill that two nurses attended on him.

　　他病得那样重，有两个护士照顾他。

　　The room was so hot that she felt dizzy.

　　房间里如此之热,以至于她觉得头晕目眩。

　　2、so+副词+that

　　He spoke so clearly that I could hear every word.

　　他讲得非常清楚，每个字我都听得见。

　　They sat so close that their heads nearly touched.

　　他们坐得那么近，头都差不多碰到一起了。

　　such...that...

　　与so...that...不同的是，such...that...中的such后接的是名词。其常见的结构用法有：

　　1、such+不定冠词+形容词+单数可数名词+that

　　He's such a good swimmer that he makes me look sick.

　　他游得这么好，真叫我相形见绌。

　　Her husband is such a bear that nobody likes him.

　　她丈夫很粗暴，没人喜欢他。

　　2、such+形容词+复数可数名词+that

　　He told us such funny stories that we all laughed.

　　他对我们讲了那么些有趣的故事，我们全都哈哈大笑。

　　3、such+形容词+不可数名词+that

　　It is such terrible weather that it is absurd to go out.

　　在这么恶劣的天气里出去太荒唐。

　　so many/much/few/little...that....

　　so与表示数量的代词many、 few、much、little等连用是常见固定搭配， 不能换用such的对应结构。

　　1、so+many/few(+复数名词)+that

　　many/few有时作定语，后接复数名词，但有时直接用作表语，后面不再接其他成分。

　　They asked so many questions that they confused me.

　　他们问了许许多多问题，把我弄糊涂了。

　　The butterflies are so many that they often cover entire trees .

　　蝴蝶数量多的时候，它们经常会遍布整片树林。

　　He has so few friends that his life is lonely.

　　他的朋友很少，因此他的生活非常孤单。

　　The members are so few that we can't start the project.

　　成员太少，因此我们无法启动该计划。

　　2、so+much/little(+不可数名词)+that

　　与many/few一样，much/little有时作定语，后接不可数名词，但有时直接用作表语，后面不再接其他成分。

　　She wore so much jewellery that she seemed to be covered in gold.

　　她戴了那么多首饰，看上去象是包在金子里似的。)

　　He talk so much that no one else can get a word in edgeways.

　　他讲得滔滔不绝，别人都无法插嘴。

　　There is so little time left that I don't think I can finish it as scheduled.

　　剩下这么少的时间，我想我不能按时完成。

　　The box costs so little that I can afford it.

　　这个箱子很便宜,我买得起。

　　比较：so和 such

　　其规律由so与such的不同词性决定。

　　such 是形容词，修饰名词或名词词组。

　　so 是副词，只能修饰形容词或副词，so 还可与表示数量的形容词many, few, much, little连用，形成固定搭配。

　　so foolish,

　　such a fool ,

　　so nice a flower,

　　such a nice flower ,

　　so many flowers,

　　so few flowers,

　　such nice flowers,

　　so much money,

　　so little money,

　　such rapid progress,

　　so many people,

　　such a lot of people,

　　①He speaks so fast that no one can catch him.

　　他说话太快， 无人听得明白。

　　②I have had so many falls

　　that I’m black and blue.

　　我摔了如此多跤以至我全身青红紫绿。

　　③There are so few books that I can’t give you one .

　　书如此之少以至我不能给你一本。

　　④They are such interesting movies that I want to see them again and again .

　　⑤They are so many interesting movies that I want to see them again and again .

　　⑥Our country has so much coal that she can export large quantities.

　　我们国家的煤炭非常丰富， 可以大量出口。

　　⑦The shop sells so expensive goods that I want to buy nothing in it.

　　这家商店出售的货物价格昂贵， 以致我在里面不想购买任何东西。

　　⑧He’s such a good person that we mustn’t blame him.

　　他是这样好的人， 我们不能怪他.

　　⑨They are such fine teachers that we all respect them .

　　他们是非常好的老师， 我们对他们极为尊敬。

　　⑩It is such nice weather that I would like to go to the beach.

　　天气如此之好， 我想去海滩。

　　句型转换

　　so...that/such...that与too...tohttp://baijiahao.baidu.com/enough...to...句型之间的转换

　　so…that与 such…that之间的转换既为 so与such之间的转换，so是副词，与形容词连用。其结构是: “...so + 形容词(副词)+ that + 从句

　　The boy is so young that he can't go to school.

　　=He is such a young boy that he can't go to school.

　　too+adjhttp://baijiahao.baidu.com/adv. to+v. “太...而不能做某事”

　　He is too young to go to school.

　　他年纪太小还不能上学。

　　adjhttp://baijiahao.baidu.com/adv.+enough to +v.“足够...而能做某事”

　　He is old enough to go to school.

　　他足够大了能上学了/他已到了上学的年龄了。

　　通常来说，这四种句型可用于同义句转换，具体如下：

　　too...to...=not 反义词

　　enough to=so...that 否定句=such...that否定句

　　例：He is too young to go to school.

　　=He is not old enough to go to school.

　　=He is so young that he can't go to school.

　　=He is such a young boy that he can't go to school.

　　特殊情况

　　that也可以直接用来连接结果状语从句。

　　What have we done that you should be so angry with us?

　　我们做了什么使你这么生气?

　　如果结果状语从句的主语与主句的主语相同， 可用so (adjhttp://baijiahao.baidu.com/adv.) as to取代该结果状语从句。

　　The weather was so bad that it made it hard to take a good photo.

　　上面句子中的主句和从句的主语都是the weather，所以可以改为：

　　The weather was bad, so as to make a good photo hard to take.

　　天气恶劣， 以致难以拍出来好照片。

　　He was so kind as to phone for a taxi for the patient.

　　他是如此热心， 以至于他为病人打电话叫了出租车。

　　How could you be so stupid as to believe him?

　　你怎么这么笨， 竟相信了他的话?

　　为了强调形容词或副词，so/such···that···引导的结果状语从句，可把so/such部分置于句首，采用倒装结构。

　　So tired was I that I lost myself during marching.

　　我太累了，甚至在行进中睡着了。

　　Such a good student is he that we all like him.

　　他是个这么好的学生，所以我们都喜欢他。
